Dr Jacqueline Jeynes
– Writer of the Year 2015.
As a published author of several business books on health
and safety and small firms since 2000, Jacqueline published her practical guide
on Peg Loom Weaving in 2012 as there was no other full-length guide available
at the time.
Her father was a FEPOW – Far East Prisoner of War - so while
working with the Midland Association of FEPOWs, she collected their individual
stories over 25 years and published her book in 2015 to commemorate the 70th
anniversary of VJ Day.
She is currently working on a series of Walking Wales: the
Art Lover’s Guide to.., incorporating old paintings from the National Library
of Wales alongside up-to-date photographs from her long-distance treks.
Jacqueline is writer/tutor of Aberystwyth University
Distance Learning modules on art history, and is a travel writer for Silver
Travel Advisor (aimed at 50+ age group). She regularly presents workshops and
talks on writing non-fiction.
Pen Coed Publishing was established in Ceredigion in 2016 by
established author Dr Jacqueline Jeynes. “We have a growing list of non-fiction
publications from the only full-length practical guide on Peg Loom Weaving; the
stories from WWII prisoners of war held in Japan and the Far East and families
that waited for them; to a series of Art Lover’s Guides to Walking in Wales.”
There are several other publications due in the coming year so this is an
exciting time for the new business.
